The gates open to the general public at 9am and close at 5pm (Friday, Saturday and Sunday)

Are Disabled and Carer Tickets available?

Do you offer discounted tickets for disabled visitors?
Yes. We offer a reduced-price disabled ticket for visitors who require additional support to
attend Yorkshire Wartime.

Do you offer discounted tickets for carers?
Yes. We offer a reduced-price carer ticket for carers attending to support a disabled visitor.

Does the disabled visitor need a ticket?
Yes. A disabled ticket must be purchased for the person being cared for. Carer tickets are
valid only when accompanying a disabled ticket holder.

What proof is required?
Disabled visitors must present valid proof of eligibility along with photo ID on arrival. All
documentation must be current and in date at the time of attendance.

Accepted proof includes (but is not limited to):
 • PIP or DLA award documentation
 • An official disabled ID card
 • A letter from a local authority, GP, or relevant organisation

Please note:
Proof of disability benefits (such as DLA or PIP) does not confirm eligibility for a
disabled ticket on it’s own. Evidence must demonstrate that additional support is
required to qualify. Carer tickets are intended solely for those providing support to the
disabled ticket holder.

Do carers need to provide proof?
Carers may be asked to present photo ID to confirm they are attending with the disabled
ticket holder.

What happens if suitable proof is not provided?
If valid, in-date proof and photo ID are not provided on arrival, we reserve the right to
charge the full on-the-gate ticket price for the affected ticket.

If you are unsure whether your documentation will be accepted, please contact us in advance
and we will be happy to advise.

Is parking free?

Yes, all parking is free on site to visitors.  There are parking attendants onsite to help direct vehicles and maintain pedestrian safety. Please note, any goods or valuables left in cars are at the owners own risk.

Can you purchase tickets on the day?

Yes, tickets are available on the gate. See tickets page for pricing information.
Advance tickets must be purchased ahead of the show, and proof of receipt shown at the ticket office.

Are dogs allowed?

Accepted Answer

Yes, dogs are allowed but must be kept on a lead at all times. Owners are responsible for cleaning dog mess and disposing in appropriate bins. Please be aware there will be loud bangs and controlled explosions which may startle some dogs.

Will there be disabled parking and toilets?

There is disabled parking next to the main ticket entrance for Blue Badge holders. Blue badges must be displayed in the vehicle at all times. Disabled toilets are available at various locations around the site.

Is there food and drink available at the show?

Yes, we have a range of food and refreshment traders at the show. Most traders accept cash and card but please note, card payments are dependent on wi-fi connection.

You are welcome to bring your own picnic. Please dispose of any rubbish in bins provided, or take with you on leaving.

There are no cash machines onsite - please ensure you bring cash with you as not all stalls will accept payment by card, and connection may be slow.

Is there a main arena battle on Friday?

No, the main arena battles are on Saturday and Sunday only.
On Friday, Saturday and Sunday there will a range of military vehicle parades in the main arena

Yes, camping is available for tents, caravans and motorhomes. You can book your pitch now via the Tickets page and select the Camping option along with any required weekend show tickets.
